"The response to our inaugural competition last year was overwhelming, with over 140 entries covering a whole range of political characters, events and topics. The quality of the cartoons was fantastic so we are looking forward to what is on offer again this year.

The 2009 newmatilda.com Prize for Political Cartooning will be officially launched on April Fools Day however we will accept entries from cartoonists from the start of March right through to the start of June.
